Spiritual Decision Making:

The Art of the Decision

Decision making is needed. You feel you have all the information to make it, but you just can't act. How do you know you're making the right choice?

Look at the bigger picture. You are part of Infinite Mind. You are made of the same stuff as God. Consider that you cannot make the wrong choice. More on this in a moment.

Spiritual Decision Making If you're faced with making a choice, there are opposing forces, multiple paths, conflict. By going only one way you miss out on the other way. The feeling of missing out makes you feel sad or lost so you can't make up your mind.

Here are some tips for making choices I like to call spiritual decision making:

The secret to making successful decisions isn't so much about outcome as process.

Here's what I mean: if you make good little choices along the way, the big ones take care of themselves.

If you have to make a choice you're forcing the issue. It may be better to do nothing instead and just observe. Let the power of your mind take over in the background while you go do something else. Infinite Mind will bring you what you need. And what you need may appear in the form of coincidences watch for these! Coincidences are the Universe's way of talking to you. Listen!

There's a difference between taking action and making a choice. In taking an action, there is no struggle. The way is clear. There are no options to weigh. You're hungry, you eat lunch. Simple, like that. Right action is as simple as falling off a log. Who can't do that? Gravity does all the work!

Remember earlier I said that you cannot make a wrong choice? It's true. Spiritual decision making means that you believe your good will always rise to the top. There is only good in the Universe, so there is only good outcome for you. But let's put this to the test:

If you have $500 in the bank and $1000 in bills in the mailbox, you think you have a choice to make, right? Wrong.

Always remember that life gives clues. Watch for the Universe telling you what to do. That's your Jiminy Cricket, your angels, your Higher Self, your intuition. I just call my instructions "The Voices" because it makes me happy.

By remembering that your angels are looking out for you. You can pay some of those bills, or none of them, and still end up all right.

Everyone's situation will be different. Remembering in each moment that the Universe is looking out for your well-being at all times takes a bit of practice at first. But you certainly don't have to make any decision. In fact, our old pal Lao Tzu (6th century BC Chinese philosopher) would counsel that the time was right for no action. No choices to be made. Leave the bills and leave the money in the bank account. The time to act will become apparent.

Then you're waiting in expectation that your angels will do something for you. That's good energy to express because they will.

Decision making isn't black and white. The world shimmers in shades of grey. If you don't think of outcomes in terms of "this outcome is good" or "this outcome is bad" you've taken the power right out of making a choice.

A late bill payment isn't bad if paying on time means that your children are hungry.

Spiritual decision making means that you aren't deciding or taking action on your own. You're supported by your angels.
